After Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan All Set For His Digital Debut With A Thriller?

Days after Akshay Kumar made the announcement of venturing into the digital space and launching his show amidst fire, reportedly, now Shah Rukh Khan is also ready to explore the digital platform. If latest reports are to be believed, the superstar who’s already backing Emraan Hashmi starrer Bard Of Blood, has given his nod to another web series, which he will not only fund but also act in.

Yes, that's right! A report in DNA suggests that the Zero actor is most likely to venture into the digital space. A source close to the actor told the leading daily, “The series that Shah Rukh has decided to do is a thriller. Like Bard Of Blood, it will be produced by his banner. The subject has excited him so much that he has decided to not only produce it but also act in it."

The report further adds, “King Khan has apparently confirmed a web series with the same international streaming platform with which his company’s already making Bard Of Blood starring Emraan Hashmi. The political espionage thriller is based on Bilal Siddiqi’s book by the same name.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s last film Zero, co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif didn’t live up to the expectations and SpotboyE exclusively told you about him walking out of Rakesh Sharma’s biopic Saare Jahan Se Achcha too. A few reports claimed that SRK-Salman will come together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next, touted to be the remake of Meena Kumari's classic Baiju Bawra, but there’s no announcement on it till now.

Yesterday, we reported about Saare Jahan Se Achcha’s write Anjum Rajabali, who agreed that SRK is not a part of the film and had revealed the reason behind it. At a panel discussion at FICCI Frames, he had said, "If you are asking me, there was a problem with the script (of Zero). Himanshu (Sharma) is a very talented person but things go wrong sometimes. I don't think he said no to Saare Jahan Se Achcha because of space (angle). I think he is also pretty shaken up. He was banking a lot on that." And with this update, looks like, Shah Rukh now wants to take a break from big screen and try his hand in the digital space.
