Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, 2020, fans have been asking for a CBI enquiry into the matter. While cops clearly declared it a ‘case of suicide’, it was only after actor’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, the entire matter took a different turn. The case is now being investigated by CBI and ED closely. We are bringing you a time-to-time update about SSR’s case and it is getting murkier day-by-day.

Now amidst the CBI probe into SSR suicide case, netizens have now taken to social media to demand CBI enquiry in Sridevi’s death case too. Bollywood’s first female superstar Sridevi died on February 24, in a hotel room in Dubai, UAE. While the reason behind her death was termed as ‘accidental drowning’ fans now want a CBI probe into her untimely death. So much so that netizens have made #CBIEnquiryForSridevi trend on social media.

A user wrote, “No, you fool. but bcoz Sridevi's family did not file an FIR. CBI only takes up a case when police investigation fails & then the State govt. gives approval for CBI to investigate a suspicious case. What kind of regressive & dirty mindset you have #CBIEnquiryForSridevi”, while another said, “Yes. CBI didn't waste a sec before accepting inquiry demand for Sushant but no such enthusiasm for Sri Devi. Why? Just because she was a woman? CBI is misogynistic, patriarchal, sexist. I demand #CBIEnquiryForSridevi as well as no FIR against me for saying bad things about CBI.”
