Earlier, Deepika Padukone became a part of a Government-run campaign called Bharat Ki Laxmi campaign Even Kangana Ranaut started a campaign, named Change Within along with other Bollywood celebs. This time, it is Rajkummar Rao who is all set to star in a two-minute-long ad-film which will be flagged off by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The campaign is called India Wali Diwali. Recently, the Judgmentall Hai Kya actor shared an IGTV on his Instagram handle where he s seen urging his fans and viewers to extend a hand in making some poor and orphan kids’ Diwali a happening one.
In the video, Rajkummar is seen urging his fans and viewers to extend a hand in making some poor and orphan kids’ Diwali special. The video starts with people buying extra diyas and sweets for those who are not able to celebrate it. Later, he comes on to the screen to encourage the audience to make this festival of Diwali special for the underprivileged children. While sharing the video on his handle, he wrote, “India wali Diwali. What a simple yet noble thought. Let's start a new tradition this Diwali. Let's celebrate #IndiaWaliDiwali. PM Shri @narendramodi.”
In the video, he urges the citizens to donate clothes, toys and gifts to those who cannot afford it on their own and make it a happy festival for them as well. The actor's appeal to the audience is strong which reaches out to the maximum people with a powerful message.
"The simplicity of thought here was amazing. And that had to be translated into the visuals as well. The treatment and grammar was thus very simplistic, open, and easy to the eye. Rajkumar Rao brought tremendous credibility to the film and the campaign. He is just too fine with this art and it was evident that he truly believes in the cause that he is supporting." the director Ankit sharma says.
On the work front, Rajkummar was last seen Made In China with Mouni Roy. He will be next in Roohi-Afza along with Janhvi Kapoor and White Tiger with Priyanka Chopra which will be a Netflix original series.
