Shah Rukh Khan is currently spending his lockdown days at home with his family. The Bollywood Badshah is enjoying his quarantine break with his kids and is making the most of the time at hand. After the 2018 film Zero released, Shah Rukh Khan took some time off from work to introspect and it has been over two years since we last saw him on the big screen. Since the past few months, reportedly, SRK is busy reading scripts and is said to have okayed some films as well. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Shah Rukh Khan is said to be playing a double role in one of his upcoming movie. A source informed the tabloid that SRK will be playing the role of an investigating officer of a top agency and a criminal in Atlee’s next directorial. The source said, “Atlee and Shah Rukh have been discussing a potential collaboration for two years now and have brainstormed on multiple subjects. They have finally fixed on an action film, which has SRK playing an investigating officer of a top Indian agency and a most-wanted criminal. The story revolves around these two characters who are worlds apart, their conflict and confrontation.”

The source in the report revealed that Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan have been discussing a potential collaboration for two years now and have finally fixed an action film. The report states that Atlee is currently developing a script with Karan Johar’s team of writers and will be co-producing the film as well with SRK. The source informed that three of Atlee’s four directorial’s titled Theri, Mersal and Bigil, feature the protagonist in double or triple roles. Talking about Atlee, the source added, “He loves exploring the different aspects of an actor’s persona within the same film. He is looking to continue the trend with two diametrically different characters in this film as well.”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly expected to resume working with Sidharth Anand’s action thriller based film titled Pathan. Apart from that, King Khan also has Rajkumar Hirani’s social comedy in the pipeline, apart from Atlee’s next movie. As per the reports, SRK is also in talks for a quirky action thriller with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The actor also has a cameo in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and R Madhavan’s Nambi Narayanan biopic, titled Rocketry.
