Veteran actor and Samajwadi Party MP, Jaya Bachchan spoke in support of Bollywood during the Monsoon session of Parliament. The veteran actor reacted to the remarks made by actor and Lok Sabha member Ravi Kishan and also took a sly dig at Kangana Ranaut. Now, after Jaya Bachchan’s statement in the Rajya Sabha, the Maharashtra Government has beefed up security outside Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow, as per the latest reports. Jaya Bachchan raised the issue of a conspiracy to ‘defame the industry’ in the Rajya Sabha yesterday.

Times Now reported that the security outside the Bachchan’s bungalows has been beefed up by the Maharashtra government. The reports state the security was beefed up after Jaya Bachchan’s statement in the Rajya Sabha, in support of Bollywood. As per the report, the veteran actor received threats on social media for speaking in support of the Hindi Film Industry.

While many questions were raised against Jaya Bachchan on social media with her supporting Bollywood, as per reports, Maharashtra government has provided security to both of Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalows situated in the midst of Mumbai. The report also stated that no special protection has been provided to the Bachchan family members but mentioned that the perimeter security around the area surround the Big B’s bungalows have been increased.

Meanwhile, many Bollywood celebrities spoke on social media and lauded Jaya Bachchan’s statement in the Rajya Sabha. Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor and many others praised Jaya Bachchan for being brave and speaking out in support of the Hindi Film Industry. On the other hand, in the Monsoon session of Parliament, Jaya Bachchan pointed out how the film industry has always supported the government and requested that action must be taken against the ones trying to defame the industry.
