After Kangana Ranaut's 'Love-Jihad' Remark On Tanishq Advertisement, Mini Mathur Goes On A Social Media Rant Expressing Displeasure Over Its Removal
Recently, jewellery brand Tanishq came under the radar of netizens for its advertisement that showed a Muslim mother-in-law organising a baby shower for daughter-in-law as per Hindu traditions. This advertisement left many furious. On Twitter, the advertisement received a massive backlash, after which, it was pulled down by the brand. Kangana Ranaut expressed her displeasure over the commercial and stated that it promotes 'love-jihad' and 'sexisim'. Now, it is Mini Mathur who has shared her opinion.

On Instagram, Mini Mathur has made a series of posts, saying that it is heartbreaking to see the brand removing the advertisement after the backlash. She came out in support of the brand by citing her own example. She wrote, "This and even more love is literally what I have experienced from my multi-cultural marriage. And yet, Tanishq has chosen to pull off the ad because some bigots have coined the term Love Jihad. What does it even mean?"

Her next post read, "By not speaking up, you are party to normalising of hate between two communities. Also, why and how does religion matter? What role does it/should it play in our generation? I'd rather the world turn atheist than have hate as a religion. And wanting peace and harmony in my country doesn't make me or any one of us, less of a patriot." She summed up saying that she would rather have a world of atheists instead having hate on the basis of religion. Check out her posts below:
