In the month of January 2020 came news of superstar Shah Rukh Khan stepping down from Saare Jahaan Se Accha a biopic based on first Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma. The film was supposed to be co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan along with Siddharth Roy Kapur, but the actor-producer parted ways on amicable terms. Now as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, the film which was announced in the year 2018 is all set to go on floors with multi-talented star of Bollywood, Farhan Akhtar. 

The makers of this film have finalized Farhan as he suits the bill. As reported the film will go on floors soon and the actor is said to be undergoing physical transformation for it too. Currently Farhan has Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Toofan. This Hindi sport flick will have the actor in the role of national level boxer. As per the Wikipedia page the movie was scheduled to release in September 2020, but as per the ongoing scenario due to COVID-19 pandemic, audience will have to wait for the final announcement.

Saare Jahaan Se Accha which has Farhan on board now, was first announced with perfectionist Aamir Khan. Followed by which Shah Rukh Khan came on board but walked out after debacle of Aanand L Rai’s Zero at the box office.
