Today early morning, celebs like Suresh Raina, Suzzanne Khan, singer Guru Randhawa among other 34 people were arrested after Mumbai Police raided a restaurant in Mumbai's JW Marriot hotel. All the celebs along with others were booked for violating COVID-19 norms. However later Suresh and Guru among others were released on bail. Now after Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa too has released the statement and said that he ‘deeply regrets the unintentional incident.’ A while back, Joint CP Of Law and Order Vishwas Nangre Patil said that there was no matter of drug or it wasn’t a rave party.
Guru Randhawa’s official statement reads, “Guru Randhawa, who had stepped out for dinner with close friends before returning back to Delhi the same morning, deeply regrets the unintentional incident that occurred last night. Unfortunately, he was not aware of local authorities' decision of night curfew but instantly conformed to all rules laid out by the government officials. He promises to compile with government guidelines and protocols by taking all precautionary measures in the future. By far, he has been a law-abiding citizen and will continue to do so in the future as well."

Yesterday, the Maha government announced a night curfew in the wake of new COVID-19 strains found in countries like the UK, US, Denmark, Italy among others.

Joint CP Of Law and Order Vishwas Nangre Patil told the Media, "In view of this new strain of COVID-19, Maharashtra Government has imposed prescribed timings for pubs, discos, and night establishments. Yesterday around 3 am in the night 27 customers and 7 management people were arrested. Under section 188 of the disaster management act and 33 W of the Mumbai Police Act. The females were released with 41 D notice whereas other male customers were arrested and later bailed out. Action is underway on the management team by Mumbai Police. So basically given COVID Mumbai Police had raided to stop the illegal activity".
