Bollywood is no more what it used to be. Filmmakers are going edgy, actors are ready to push the limits, and audience too is accepting the change gradually. After Swara Bhasker depicted a masturbation scene in Veere Di Wedding, Kiara Advani too attempted the challenging scene in Karan Johar’s Lust Stories. Both the ladies faced a bit of backlash, but they were hugely appreciated for their confidence to pull-off the scenes without making them look vulgar. And now, Masaan actress Shweta Tripathi has also decided to take the road less travelled.
Reports suggest that Shweta Tripathi is going to do a masturbation scene in the upcoming web series, Mirzapur. According to Mid-day, the scene will be Shweta's introduction in the web show, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vikrant Massey and Ali Fazal in lead roles.
The report in Mid Day further quotes a source from the creative team of the series, saying, "The scene has Shweta reading a book in the library. In reality, beneath her textbook is an adult magazine. As she gets turned on by the material, you can hear the voice of Savita Bhabhi play in the background. It is a sensual scene; Shweta went completely by the vision of the director [Gurmmeet Singh] and had no apprehension whatsoever as an artiste." It is being said that the makers are deliberately keeping the scene under wraps as they fear that it may court some controversy. Having made a name for herself with films like Masaan, Haramkhor and Love Shorts, let’s see how Shweta fares with this tough one.
