Ahead Of Sridevi’s 1ST Death Anniversary, Sonam Kapoor Remembers The Late Actress
On February 24, 2018, Bollywood superstar Sridevi left for heavenly abode. The actress was in Dubai to attend the wedding of Mohit Marwah with Antara Motiwal and her untimely demise in a Dubai hotel room, left several unanswered questions. However, the cause of her death was said to be accidental drowning.

Now, after a year, Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor had flown down to Chennai, as they organized a puja on her first death anniversary. According to Hindu calendar, her first death anniversary falls on February 14th, so the puja was conducted on the date, pictures of which we brought to you. Present at the puja were Tamil superstar Ajith, English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde with her filmmaker-husband R Balki.


Now, a video of Sonam Kapoor which has the actress sharing her memories with Sridevi is going viral on social media. In an interview with Times Now, Sonam said, “I think my favourite film of hers is Mr. India. And my childhood memory of hers is her living with me in my house for many many years. And her letting me watch Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke on her television in her bedroom. I'll never forget that.”

At Sridevi’s maternal home, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were seen sporting sarees with garlands. Earlier, remembering Sridevi, Anil Kapoor had told Mumbai Mirror, "She was my brother’s wife and my wife’s friend as they connected really well. Whenever we met there was always fun, laughter and humour. People like Sri ji are difficult to forget. Her body of work is fabulous and inspiring. Her films are still being seen and pictures still being published everywhere. She will always be missed."
