It's a sad day for the family. After prolonged sickness, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father took his last breath today.
Krishnaraj Rai was critical for the past few days. He was hospitalised earlier in January as well because of which Aishwarya and Abhishek cut short their New Years holiday and rushed back to Mumbai.

According to the doctor, Aishwarya's father was suffering from lymphoma cancer which spread to his brain.
He was admitted 3 weeks back and passed away around 4 pm today.
Aishwarya and Abhishek were visiting him constantly last few days at the hospital.
Krishnaraj Rai was admitted to Lilavati Hospital. Aishwarya's spokesperson confirmed the news to the media.
