Aishwarya welcomes Salman’s appointment as Goodwill Ambassador

Salman Khan’s appointment as India’s Goodwill Ambassador for Rio Olympics 2016 has snowballed into a big controversy, with many arguing that he is not a good fit for the role.
The Sultan star’s ex-flame Katrina Kaif joked about the actor getting embroiled in another row (Katrina’s reaction to Salman’s Olympics controversy will surprise you, Apr 26).
Well, now Salman’s other ex-flame has spoken up and she has a dramatically different approach to the subject. When Aishwarya Rai was asked for her opinion on the topic at the L’Oreal Cannes Collection 2016 this afternoon, she graciously supported the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star. The actress said, “Anybody who is doing good to represent the country and is standing up for the betterment of the country – be it arts, music or sports...I think that should be recognised.”
