Ajay Devgn and Prakash Jha’s relationship has only become stronger with time. The filmmaker narrated Dil Kya Kare to the actor when he was bed-ridden back in the 1990s. Ajay not only decided to act but also decided to produce it. Thats where it all began for the duo. Two decades later, Ajay has come on board as the presenter of some of Prakashs upcoming projects, three of which will be directed by him.
Gangajal 2 was talk of the evening. “This time, Ajay will only present the film because the film requires a female protagonist. Its a bold film with a woman fighting the system. Ajay wont act this time in my movie but once Im done with this film, I will direct Ajay in Satsang, followed by Raajneeti 2. We cant wait to start working together,” says Prakash, adding, Ajay has given me vigour, hope and faith to continue with the work Im convinced about. So, we plan to do as many as 12 productions in a year together. Lets see how far we go.
The smaller films on Prakashs slate are Fraud Saiyyan, to be directed by Sourabh Shirvastava with Arshad Warsi playing a man who makes a living by marrying women, Crazy Cukkad Family, directed by Ritesh Menon which is ready to hit screens in January, and Lipstickwale Sapne, directed by Prakashs pet Alankrita Shrivastava, who earlier made Turning 30. Fraud Saiyyan will go on floors in a couple of weeks while Lipstickwale Sapne has just gone on floors in Madhya Pradesh.
