Ajay To Star In Santoshi's Next?

Rajkumar Santoshi has asked Ajay Devgn to play Fateh Singh in his next.
Earlier, Sanjay Dutt was supposed to essay this role. Then, Santoshi offered it to Sunny Deol who once upon a time was his closest buddy. But Ajay has won the race.
Ajay and Santoshi have worked together previously in Lajja, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Khakee and Halla Bol.
However, Ajay had walked out of Santoshi's multi-starrer Power (which finally never got made).
A source says, "Hence, this is a patch-up of sorts. Ever since Ajay walked out of Power, he and Santoshi hadn't been much on the same page."
If all goes well, Ajay will start Santoshi's film in September after completing his current assignments- Drishiyam and Badshaho.
Buzz is, he might even produce the film.
