After repeated delays in its release, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's Sooryavanshi is all set to release on November 5 in theatres. The development comes after the government of Maharashtra announced the reopening of cinemas halls across the state from October 22. 'Sooryavanshi', according to an ETimes report, has been given a U/A Certificate without a single cut.
The upcoming film reportedly boasts a runtime of 145 minutes -- 2 hours 25 minutes. The report said Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) CEO Ravinder Bhakar watched the movie on Dussehra (October 15).
Another Bollywood Hungama report quoted a trade expert speaking about the film’s runtime and said, “This is an ideal run time. The multiplexes will be able to add a sufficient number of shows in a day per screen and yet accommodate the cleaning and sanitisation process that has been mandated by the government for the safety of the moviegoers between shows.”
While the film is set to be released around Diwali, the promotions of the upcoming film have gradually picked up the pace and the fans will soon witness grand scale promotions in the days to come.
The ETimes report also suggests that October 21 is the first big day in the big promotion campaign of Sooryavanshi. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh’s song will be launched on the day amid fanfare.
The Sooryavanshi team plans on launching the second song on October 24, and it will reportedly feature Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
For the uninitiated, Sooryavanshi is another addition to the Rohit Shetty cop universe. Apart from featuring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, the movie has Ranveer Singh reprising his role as Simmba and Ajay Devgan returns as Singham.
