Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his impeccable comic timings and daredevil action sequences. He is one of the most-loved actors, who has experienced a lot of ups and downs in his career. While he enjoys a huge fanbase, he is often trolled by the netizens for his Canadian citizenship, which he gave up this year and got an Indian citizenship. Now, in a recent interview he opened up about the same and revealed how his life changed after 2 of his movies became super hit after giving back-to-back 14 flops.

During an interview with a media publication he recently shed light on how he ended up with a Canadian passport. Blaming his back-to-back 14 flops, years ago, he was convinced that he would never be successful in the Hindi entertainment industry. This led to him deciding to move to Canada to work on something. Quoted by Bollywood Life, he recalled, “I became a Canadian because my films were not doing well at one time and I gave 13 to 14 flop films. At that time, my friend used to live in Canada and he said you come here and we will work on something. My friend had offered me that we would do cargo business together. However, as he started living in Toronto and got a Canadian passport, two of his movies were left for release. As they were released, the movies became a super hit. The 56-year-old actor went on to reveal how he told his friend that he was going back. After his return he got more films and attained a lot of success. He added, “But I never thought people got a hold of it, it was just a travel document. On the work front, Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Marathi debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He was last seen in Mission Raniganj. He has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan opposite Tiger Shroff, Hera Pheri 3 and Welcome to the Jungle in his pipeline.
