Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are on a promotional spree for their upcoming film Selfie, and the co-stars had a special surprise for their fans. The actors made a special appearance in Mumbai Metro alongside public commuters which has ultimately left the netizens in awe and many have been taken aback to see their favourite stars in person.
Selfie is helmed by director Raj Mehta and the film is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam dramedy starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The filmmaker had earlier collaborated with Akshay Kumar in Good Newwz co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.
In the clip, Akshay and Emraan were seen running and boarding the train. No sooner the actors boarded the train, they were swamped by the fans and they started dancing to Main Khiladi. The Khiladi Kumar sported grey track pants with a jumper, black cap and mask. Emraan, on the other hand, wore a blue denim jacket. Netizens went berserk over fans performing the hook step.
Interestingly, Selfie also stars Mrunal Thakur, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharucha in crucial roles.
Recently, Akshay and Emraan shared a selfie against Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s poster from Bunty Aur Babli’s superhit song Kajra Re via their social media handle to promote their film.
On the professional front, Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Marathi debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He also has movies like The Biopic Of Jaswant Singh Gill and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in the pipeline.
