Akshay Kumar Recalls Wanting To Become A Hero After He Got Beaten Up By His Father For ‘Failing Class 7’
Akshay Kumar’s tale of being an underdog to now becoming one of the most successful Bollywood actors is an inspiration to millions of us. There was a time when Akshay Kumar revealed how his films were flopping back-to-back, but look at him now, the actor has been treating fans with minimum four releases a year, that too with a successful record rate. However, things weren’t always the same for Akki and the reason that prompted him to become an actor is both tragic and hilarious.

It is at the ongoing Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2019 that Akshay Kumar spilt the beans on when was the first time he thought of becoming a hero. The Kesari actor revealed that he was being beaten up by his father for failing the seventh standard and that’s when he said he is interested in becoming a hero. “I remember when I was being beaten up by my dad for failing class 7, it was allowed then. That’s when I said I want to be a ‘hero’,” said the actor.

Further, Akshay Kumar also gave a piece of inspirational advice to all the budding actors out there. He said, “Had 14 flops in a row, but I always had work. If you are professional and a producer’s actor, work hard, you will always have work. This is for all the people who want to join this industry. Be honest with your work.”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming comedy film, Good Newwz, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. It is slated to release on December 27, 2019. (ALSO READ - Akshay Kumar Is Back In His Housefull 4 Avatar But For A Different Reason)
