Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal To Battle It Out With Prabhas’ Saaho At Box-Office
We are about to witness one of the biggest box-office clashes of the year. Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal will battle it out with Prabhas starrer Saaho on August 15, i.e. on Independence Day. Touted as India’s first space film, Mission Mangal will also star Vidya Balan, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menon. The film will be helmed by Jagan Shakti and jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Films in collaboration with R Balki.

While there were certain reports which stated that the makers are contemplating on rescheduling the film’s release to avert the clash, but it seems like they have no such plans and are ready for the big face-off.

Speaking of Saaho, the action-packed trilingual stars Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. After releasing a slew of posters, today, the makers unveiled the teaser and it has been amassing praise already. The multilingual project is being made at an estimated budget of Rs 300 crore. Written and directed by Sujeeth, the film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

Talking about his prep and transformation for Saaho, Prabhas had said to NDTV, "I gained weight for Baahubali, while for Saaho, I had to shed it. I lost seven to eight kilos after being put on a low-carbohydrate diet and executing a lot of cardiovascular activities. I wanted to acquire a sleek look for the film. We also got a 50-member crew from Hollywood to film one among the most expensive action sequences ever shot in Indian cinema. So, it required a different set of training (from that employed in Baahubali)".
