Akshay Kumar Starts Shooting For The Remake Of Suriya's Tamil Film 'Soorarai Pottru'; Disappointed Fans Say, 'Please Be A Part Of Original Content' -See TWEETS
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Akshay Kumar will be seen in the Hindi remake of superstar Suriya's Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. He will be sharing screen space with Radhika Madan in the same. Well, Akshay and Radhika have now started shooting for the film. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Soorarai Pottru is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath. On Twitter, Akshay shared a video where we can see Radhika breaking coconut.

Sharing the video, Akshay wrote, "With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it. In case you'll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes." As soon as he shared the video, many fans expressed their disappointment. One of his fans wrote, "Please sir no remake." Another one wrote, "Sir ott pe release kar dena isko please... Ye #SooraraiPottru ki remake nahi chahiye already dekhi hui movie ko log kitni baar dekhenge... Hindi me available he youtube or Amazon prime pe kyu time waste kar rahe ho sir.. 5-6 original movie karli he ab fresh script ka wait karo."

A third one wrote on Twitter, "Please do make promises now that you will not be featuring in any more remakes after this. I hope this will be your last remake film. Plz, be part of the original content. Anyway best wishes. I am sure I would enjoy it as I have not seen the original South movie."




Apart from Soorarai Pottru remake, Akshay will also be seen in Prithviraj, Ram Setu, OMG 2 and Raksha Bandhan.
