Alia Bhatt has broken her silence on ‘toxicity’ and ‘criticism’ hours after netizens blasted her husband Ranbir Kapoor for asking her to ‘wipe off’ her lipstick before going on dates. A few users also called Ranbir ‘toxic’.
The actor was trolled after a viral video saw Alia Bhatt revealing that when she used to go on dates with Ranbir during their courtship, he would make her wipe off her lipstick. ALSO READ | WHAT? Now, amid the controversy, Alia conducted a ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram and answered several questions posted by her followers. A user asked "What's a great way to deal with toxicity and criticism?"
To which the actress responded, "Constructive criticism is the best way to grow. But words that are meant to hurt you can only hurt if you let them." She added, "No one can take you who are away from you... cultivate a life so full of love and gratitude that toxicity wouldn't even reach you."
Interestingly, Alia is already in the process of putting the minor setback in the past and she is currently busy enjoying the best phase of her life.
She tied the knot with the love of her life and longtime boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family. They announced their first pregnancy in June 2022 and welcomed their baby daughter Raha in November 2022.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar’s comeback movie Rani Aur Rocky Ki Prem Kahani and Heart Of Stone. She has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise and Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zara alongside Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in her pipeline.
