Alia Bhatt's elder sister Shaheen Bhatt has always been vocal about her tryst with depression and how she overcame it. Now, she has penned her journey in a book called I Have Never Been (Un)Happier. The Bhatt sisters recently attended an event where Shaheen spoke about mental health. She put up a very courageous stance and was rather seen consoling Alia Bhatt who could not control her emotions and broke down in front of the audience.
A video has made it to the internet where we see Alia Bhatt crying inconsolably. We see Shaheen trying to pacify her but tears roll down fiercely as Alia recalls her sister's fight with depression. The event was We The Women where these two sisters were the guests and they had to talk about the challenges they face. Even though Shaheen keeps bay from the paparazzi, she came into limelight as she spoke about her anxiety level and depression in a long post on social media a few years ago. She had revealed that she had been battling depression since the age of 13. At this event, even Alia Bhatt spoke about her anxiety levels. She was quoted saying, "I haven’t been depressed but I’ve had bouts of anxiety. It comes and goes. It’s been happening quite a bit since the past five to six months.
