Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been garnering attention from all over the world as she stunned at the Met Gala 2024 in a gorgeous Sabyasachi saree. As fans are busy going gaga over her look for the prestigious event, another one of her deepfake videos has surfaced on the internet. Posted on May 3, 2024, a video of the actress recently went viral where she was seen posing for the camera draped in a beautiful red saree. However, it was clear that her face was morphed on actress Wamiqa Gabbi.
Over the last few months, many celebrities have been victims of deepfake technology where their faces have been morphed into different individuals. This has become a rising concern among netizens. Talking about the video where Waqima’s face is morphed into Alia’s, the 30-year-old actress posted her video on April 27. Draped in a red saree, she struck different poses as ‘Pehle Lalkare Naal Main Dar Gai’ from Chamkila plays in the background. As soon as the deepfake video surfaced on the internet, netizens quickly took to the comment section of the post and slammed the handle. While many questioned the legality of them using the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress’ face without her permission, others expressed their disgust and concern. One wrote, “Is this legal?? U r using alia's face.” Another wrote, “This is the actual video of Wamiqa Gabi.
