Alia Bhatt Is Concerned For Her 70-Year-Old Father, Mahesh Bhatt During COVID-19 Pandemic

The filmmaker is 70 years old; also during these tragic times following safety measures is the only way out. Hence, she constantly keeps on asking her father to not do certain things. Alia Bhatt shares a close bond with her father-filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, often crediting him for getting out the best in her on the celluloid. Time and again she is also been heard mentioning of her father being her biggest critic, thus keeping her grounded, despite her skyrocketing career. After venturing with him for the first time ever on the work front for the movie Sadak 2, she just couldn't stop gushing about her father’s style of working on a film.
Meanwhile, with the outbreak of COVID-19, the actress has been worried about her father. In a conversation with Rajeev Masand, she mentioned constantly asking him not to do certain things as part of safety measures to avoid contracting this widespread virus. As this virus can easily affect kids and those above 60, Alia mentions her father is 70, thus this getting her worried even more. She said, “He is 70 plus. I am constantly nervous and thinking... That’s why I am always screaming ‘don’t touch your face, don’t do this’.”
During the self-isolation, the actress had posted an emotional post that saw her along with father in the picture. She captioned this image as, “Stay home &... go through old pictures when you’re missing your daddy #throwbackthursday #stayhomestaysafe.”
Alia Bhatt is currently at her new abode quarantined with her BF Ranbir Kapoor during a 21 day lockdown period. The two were recently seen together taking Ranbir’s pet dog for a walk midst of the lockdown period in Alia’s building premises.
