Alia Bhatt On "Not Supporting" Kangana Ranaut: If I Have Upset Her, I Will Apologise On A Personal Level

As she sat down for an interaction, obviously the topic veered towards Kangana Ranaut, wherein Kangana accused Alia of not supporting her in her maiden directorial, and also many cast and crew members of the film were up in arms against her.

She had even slammed Alia Bhatt at the time, as she said, "These girls send me their trailers like Alia (Bhatt) sent me the trailer of Raazi and said, 'Please watch it'. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country."
When she was asked if she has reached out to them, she replied, "I have reached out to them. When I saw Raazi trailer, I called Alia and Meghna, I spoke to each one of them for half an hour. But no response from anyone. This is a very strange sort of a racket. I don't know what they are threatened by."
Now, during the promotional interviews of Gully Boy, when Alia Bhatt was asked about Kangana being visibly upset with her, Alia said, “I hope she doesn’t dislike me. I don’t think I have done anything intentionally to upset her and if I have then I will apologise to her on a personal level. But, I have always said this that I have admired her a lot as an actor and as a person and she is very outspoken. It takes tremendous courage to be that way and I was not aware of this problem or anything. So, what can I say, I don’t want to upset anybody”
