Alia Bhatt, on Monday, sent the internet and fans into a frenzy as she announced her pregnancy on social media. The actress shared the happy news that she and Ranbir Kapoor are expecting their first child via a sweet post. Alia and Ranbir since then have been receiving heartfelt wishes and immense love from their family members, cousins, and industry friends. Now, in a recent interview, Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt stated that he is super happy that his ‘baby is going to have a baby.'
Speaking to Etimes TV, Mahesh said now he has to prepare for the most important role of his life, ie Grandfather. The filmmaker was quoted as saying, “Ah, my baby is going to have a baby! I am so happy for Ranbir and Alia. May our ‘tribe’ increase. And now I have to prepare for the most important role of my life: The role of a Grandfather. Notably, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan also shared her happiness on the arrival of junior Kapoor on the way. On Alia’s post, she dropped a comment, “Congratulations Mama and Papa lion.” In fact, Alia’s mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor got emotional after the paparazzi informed her that Alia has shared her pregnancy news on Instagram. The JugJugg Jeeyo actress was left speechless and overwhelmed on the sets of her dance show.
While announcing her pregnancy news, Alia posted a photo of her from the hospital where she was undergoing ultrasound with Ranbir, sitting by her side. She captioned the post, ‘our baby coming soon.’ Ranbir and Alia, who fell in love during the shoot of their film Brahmāstra, tied the knot on April 14, 2022, at the actor’s house Vastu in Mumbai. Their wedding was an extremely private affair with just family and close friends in attendance.
