If reports on the Internet are to be believed, lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding has been postponed to 2021. The reason is not just the Coronavirus pandemic, but also their professional assignments that are expected to keep them busy in the coming months
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are undeniably one of the most loved and popular couples of B-Town. There has been a lot of excitement about their wedding and while neither of their families has confirmed about the same, speculations about Alia and Ranbir’s wedding date often surface on the Internet. From the dreamy location to the date of their wedding- a lot had been reported in the past, however, as per the latest reports, they won’t be getting married this year.
While according to reports, Alia and Ranbir were all set to get married in December, looks like their wedding date has been pushed to 2021. As people waited for perhaps what would have been the ‘biggest event of the year’, the latest reports in ETimes suggest that the wedding will take place in 2021. A source told ETimes that Ranbir and Alia have decided to skip 2020 and instead get married next year. This decision was reportedly made not just due to the Coronavirus pandemic but also due to their work commitments.
According to the report, Alia and Ranbir’s professional assignments are expected to keep them busy in the next few months, thereby postponing the wedding to 2021. There were reports that Alia had approached Sabyasachi to design a lehenga for her wedding, but even that has been put on hold.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen together on screen for the first time in the film Brahmastra. While the film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens in December 2020, buzz suggests that the film release has also been postponed.
