Alia Bhatt REACTS To Kangana Ranaut Claiming 'Gangubai Kathiawadi Will Be Burnt To Ashes’; Former Responds With A Quote From Bhagavad Gita
Alia Bhatt responds to Kangana Ranaut’s criticism on her film Gangubai Kathiawadi with a quote from the Bhagavad Gita
A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut took a dig at Alia Bhatt and her upcoming film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' saying that the movie 'will be burnt to ashes at the Box-office'. Not just this, the Queen actress also called Alia a ‘romcom bimbo’ and ‘papa ki pari.’ Now, in a recent interview, Alia has reacted to this criticism. The Raazi actress, who is currently busy promoting her film Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ responded to Ranaut’s criticism with a quote from the Bhagavad Gita.
Recently Alia Bhatt jetted off to Kolkata to launch the new song 'Meri Jaan' from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial. Replying to Kangana's dig, Alia said, as quoted by news agency PTI, “Lord Krishna had said in the Gita that inaction is an action. That's all I want to say.”
Taking a jibe at Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut had said on her Instagram Stories, “This Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office ... for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act... biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting...yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won't change) no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films ... Bollywood is destined for doom jab tak movie mafia has power.”
This is not the first time that Kangana has slammed Alia. The Tanu Weds Manu actress has expressed her animosity against Alia several times. She had once called Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar’s ‘puppet’ and a member of the ‘nepo-gang’.
Meanwhile, Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is based on a chapter from writer S Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, is slated to hit theatres on February 25.
