2020 is indeed a very busy year for Alia Bhatt. Even after the not so great review that her last film Sadak 2, directed by dad, Mahesh Bhatt received the required love and praise from fans and viewers, the actress has held her herself high in terms of her working spirit. After spending days at home during the lockdown, Alia is back on the sets. Reportedly, Alia Bhatt has resumed work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. In a Mid-Day report, a source revealed that the team of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi has resumed filming night sequences that were suspended in March, due to the lockdown. The source said, “To maintain continuity, Sanjay sir picked up the shoot exactly from where he had left it. Since October 1, Alia and the team have been reporting to the set by 7 pm, and the stint goes on till the wee hours of the morning.” The insider mentioned that although a part of the grand set was pulled down before the monsoons, a portion of resembling Kamathipura was left untouched, so the team can get back to shooting without any problems. The team has resumed work with a 50-member team, including the cast, which will see SLB wrapping up Alia’s scenes.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt took to her Twitter handle to share a video from the shooting sets of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. As the team of RRR has resumed shooting, Alia expressed her excitement to join the filming process. She shared a video from the sets featuring South star Ram Charan performing a scene and wrote, “So so looking forward to joining the team Await #RamarajuforBheemOnOct22!” The actress mentioned she is looking forward to joining the team.

Meanwhile, SLB’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is adapted from one of the chapters in Hussain Zaidi's Mafia Queens of Mumbai. In the film, Alia Bhatt plays the role of a madam of Kamathipura brothels in the '60s. With Alia back on set, in the past few days, pictures of Alia visiting SLB’s office were also reported. Apart from that, RRR actor Ram Charan also shared a video as he resumed work on the SS Rajamouli film.
