Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s grandfather and Soni Razdan’s father, Narendra Razdan, is currently hospitalised in Breach Candy, Bandra. The actress, who has made a name for herself in the industry with her powerful performances, cancelled an upcoming work commitment to stay by her family’s side. She was supposed to attend an award show, for which she was travelling abroad.
As per a report by ETimes, the 95-year-old has been hospitalised for quite some time now due to a lung infection. According to the source quoted by the media publication, the Razdan-Bhatt family received a distress call in the morning after his condition worsened. The doctors wanted to shift him to the ICU to monitor his health better. However, it was decided that he will be made comfortable in his room rather than shifting him to the ICU. The source further added, “There was a decision taken not to take him to the ICU, but to make him comfortable within the room. He's 95 and as of now he's in the sunset hours. For the unversed, Alia tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family. They announced their first pregnancy in June 2022 and welcomed their baby daughter Raha in November 2022.
On the work front, Alia has Karan Johar’s comeback movie Rani Aur Rocky Ki Prem Kahani, Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zara alongside Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, her Hollywood debut with Heart Of Stone and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise in her pipeline.
