Alia Bhatt To Resume The Shoot Of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi In October?
Reports state Alia Bhatt will begin shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in October
Brakes were applied to several films in Bollywood with the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus since March 2020, one of it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role. As per reports in Mid Day, SLB is planning to resume shooting from October 2020. The team has plans to shoot Alia’s solo scenes and few other sequences which require a lesser number of people. It also reports makers will add some cheat shots which will be fine tuned during the VFX stage.
Known for his grandeur, Bhansali will not compromise on the pivotal scenes, and hence he plans to shoot it later. Currently the film set is being fixed and sanitized to be all set for the shoot. Meanwhile, the makers are yet to finalise the date from when the camera will once again roll. Recreated Kamathipura brothels depicting the 60s was dismantled just before the rains, with only the important parts of the sets still standing in the designated studio.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on one of the stories from the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi. It was after Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan starrer Inshallah to be helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali got shelved, Alia was roped in for Gangubai Kathiawadi.
