Alia Bhatt is currently making headlines for all the right reasons. The stunning actress' latest release Gangubai Kathiawadi has been receiving an amazing response from the fans as well as critics. Alia has nailed it as Gangubai. Alia, who has been garnering praises for her terrific performance in the film, was clicked at Gaiety Galaxy theatre in Mumbai. She greeted her fans and once again won hearts.
The actress, dressed in a white saree with a backless blouse, flaunted her signature namaste pose from the film. She also mouthed a famous dialogue from the film, "Izzat se jeene ka, kisise darne ka nahi." In a way, this was Alia's reply to her trollers. Earlier, Alia was trolled by the masses for being cast in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film. Many were not happy with Alia playing the role of Gangubai. Besides this, in one of Kangana Ranaut's Instagram stories, she called Alia 'bimbo' and said that the 'biggest drawback' of the SLB's film is 'wrong casting'.
Alia was asked about the trolling and controversy a couple of days ago. Addressing the same, Alia told Koimoi.com, "I think, yeah, people must have suggested casting. But I feel like one should not really get into... A director who has been working for 25 years obviously knows whom to cast as their main lead."
She continued, "I was ok with people not thinking that I was right for the part because that is their own perspective and honestly, that doesn't matter to me as long as the director thinks I am right for the part."
