Alia Chooses Shahid Over Sidharth For A Date

Right from its trailer launch, I have been attending almost every Shaandaar event. And it's plain amusing how Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have taken it upon themselves to defend each other. Annoying even, may I add.
While it has always been Alia protecting Shahid (Alia and Shahid, you’ve got no right to make a mockery of the media, August 28) it was role reversal today at the launch of 'Shaam Shaandaar'.
One of the journalists present at the event asked the actress whom she would like to go on a date with from the film industry.
No sooner was the question asked than Shahid, like a knight in shining armour, jumped in and said, "Why am I being ignored? I wouldn't like it if Alia went on a date with anyone else."
The smart cookie that Alia is, she asked the audience to suggest who her date should be. Of course, the reporter behind me screamed hoarse, "The name starts with an S, Alia",indicating towards a certain Mr. Malhotra.
Many reporters around too started screaming Sidharth's name.
To which our Mr. Chivalrous jumped in again and said, "I'm hurt that you guys aren't taking my name."
Shahid, it's funny how you don't answer questions directed at you but are more than enthusiastic to reply on behalf of other people.
Anyway, Alia took the boring, safe route and ended the conversation saying, "I will go on a date with Shahid and with all you college students." Yawn.
Now, I expected a little more spunk from this bubbly actress. But looks like Shahid's diplomatic stance has rubbed off on her.
