Amaal Mallik seems to be upset. The singer-composer has taken a dig at the current trend of remakes which seems to have become a staple in today’s times. While some are lapped up by music buffs, some have failed to live up to expectations. Amaal took to Twitter to write, “With this new remake releasing I only feel like laughing at the mediocrity of sound that is being put out.... Ab Remake Kar Hi Rahe Ho Toh Achhe Se Toh Karlo.... Original se 5 guna zyada ghatiya aur dated sound kaise bana lete ho #BollywoodMusicHitsRockBottom.”

Now, his post makes us wonder which remake is he talking about. Considering he mentioned ‘new remake’, is he mocking the Luka Chuppi’s Poster Lagwa Do which dropped on online a while ago? Well, your guess is as good as ours. The track is the recreated version of Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar’s eponymous number from Aflatoon (1997). The song is crooned by Mika Singh and Sunanda Sharma.

Soon after, netizens began reacting to Amaal’s tweet. A user wrote, “New composer ko chance Nahi milega to Aisa hi music sunne ko milega Sir” The singer-composer replied, “Bilkul, but new composer Ko force karke remake karwate hai log, so it’s not easy for them also.”

Another Twitter wrote, “One if want to remake, should take non superhit songs then make it a super hit track As don't think there is a need to remake a original superhit track And it's not easy to beat a original superhit track. As everyone can't be @AmaalMallik sir.”
