Ameesha Patel has been accused of cheating by a social worker named Sunil Jain. The actress landed herself in trouble after a police complaint was filed against her by an organizer of the event. Recently, Ameesha performed at an event at Khandwa, in Madhya Pradesh. The actress was invited for an hour-long show at an event. Reportedly, she charged around Rs 4 lakh for the performance. However, she left after performing for only 3 minutes.

Moghat police station in-charge Ishwar Singh Chauhan told Times Now, "I was also there on the day of the event of film actress Ameesha Patel. There was definitely a crowd of people, but there was no indecency. There was no information regarding any other kind of apprehension."

He further added, "The actress reached the stage build on the temple premises at around 9.30 pm and greeted the audience. Ameesha issued a clarification and tweeted that she feared for her life at the event. The actress tweeted, "Attended the Navchandi Mahotsav 2022 yesterday 23rd April in Khandwa city, Madhya Pradesh. Very very very badly organised by Star Flash Entertainment and Mr Arvind Pandey... I feared for my life but I want to thank the local police for taking care of me very well."

After the police complaint was filed against her, Ameesha issued a statement clarifying her stance in the matter. The actress said, "I was never supposed to perform at the event, it was only an appearance that I fulfilled. However, when I reached there I realized that the organizers were playing dirty, things seemed fishy and I was no okay with them," via Hindustan Times.

The actress stated that she feared for her life and thanked local police who helped her leave from the event safely. She added, "Incidents like these put a question on humanity, but I am glad that good people also exists in the world."

On the work front, Ameesha will be seen in Gadar 2.
