Amit Sadh On Sushant Singh Rajput's Suicide: Tried Contacting 3-4 Months Prior, He Shut Himself Completely And His Number Was Changed
Amit Sadh opened up about Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and how he wanted to quit the entertainment industry after the incident in 2020
Bollywood actors Amit Sadh, Rajkummar Rao and Sushant Singh Rajput received immense love from the audience when their movei Kai Po Che released. They went on to do great movies and series, however the SSR’s suicide had a great impact on everyone's life. During a recent interaction with Chetan Bhagat on his podcast, Amith Sadh revealed that he wanted to quit the industry after the late actor took his own life.
He went on to reveal that it was Smriti Irani who came to this aid out of the blue and helped him change his mind set. Amit further recalled that he had tried to contact Sushant three to four months prior to his death. He revealed that he couldn’t get a hold of the actor but spoke to someone he knew. He said, “Chid gaya tha maine. Bada tough hai yeh industry. Mere liye boht badi cheez thi aur hamesha rahegi. Yeh kabhi purana hoga hi nahi. 3-4 months before he passed away, I spoke to someone who knows him and asked for his number. I said I will talk to him because we were all hearing things. There was no number. That person told me he had shut himself completely and his number was changed.”
The 39-year-old actor even added that her wanted to drop by Sushant’s house but that person told him not to. He shared that he still has a sense of guilt for not meeting SSR when the time was right. Even though they weren’t best of friends, the trio shared immense love for each other. He added that he gets very angry when someone talks ill about them.
Sadh also made a revelation that her had tried to take his life four time in the past between the age of 16 and 18. He shared that through such an experience he knows what kind of mindset suicidal people have.
