Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is truly the ‘Shahenshah of Bollywood’ and there is no absolutely no denying that. He is an actor par excellence and his impressive body of work proves the same. In his career spanning over 50 years, Big B has explored all different genres, played a variety of diverse characters, proving his versatility with every film he does. Today, Amitabh has successfully completed 52 years in the film industry. He took to his social media accounts to celebrate the milestone and shared interesting trivia.

Taking to Instagram, the 79-year-old superstar shared a black and white photo of himself from his debut film 'Saat Hindustani’, which was released in 1969 on November 7. Alongside the photo, Big B wrote, “on 15th Feb 1969 signed my first film "Saat Hindustani" & it released on 7 November 1969…52 Years .. TODAY !!.”


The post received much love from fans and celebrities, including his daughter Shweta Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Rohit Roy, who dropped hearts emojis in the comments section. Fans too could not help but celebrate the milestone. While one commented, “You are the best,” another called him “God of Acting.”

Talking about Saat Hindustani, the film was written and directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. Also starring, Madhu, Utpal Dutt, and Anwar Ali, the movie chronicled the heroic story of seven Indians who attempted to liberate Goa from the Portuguese colonial rule. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has many exciting projects lineup for the coming years. Amongst them is Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahamastra’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Mayday’, Marathi filmmaker Nagraj Manjule’s sports drama ‘Jhund’, the official remake of Hollywood film ‘The Intern’ with Deepika Padukone, and Vikas Bahl’s ‘Good Bye’.
