Amitabh Bachchan Recalls Old Allahabad Days And Says His Family Never Locked Doors: ‘Now People Advise Me To Keep A Lock On My Tongue Too’

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is quite active on social media, and often pens his thoughts in his Tweets. He also pens a blog frequently, eloquently putting into words his thoughts and messages. On Friday, Big B responded to a fan’s tweet, and while doing so, he recalled his days spent in Allahabad as a child. He mentioned that back then, their family used to keep the main gate open, and that he has never seen it being locked. He then tweeted that today, things are much different, and in fact, nowadays people even ask him to keep a lock on his tongue.
The social media user had tweeted, “If the world had run on faith, there would be no lock on anyone's door." Reacting to this tweet by the fan, Amitabh Bachchan wrote in Hindi, “Brother I have seen such days in Allahabad. We would never lock our house. Also, our main gate would always remain open, I have never seen it being shut. Yes, but that is no longer possible. Nowadays people advise me to keep a lock on my tongue too!!"
Amitabh Bachchan’s fans also added their own thoughts on this, and a social media user wrote, “Back then we were hopeful people. Now that hope cannot be trusted either. One has to check even the lock 10 times to make sure it has not been left open.” Take a look at Big B’s tweet below:
