In the meantime, Big B is all gearing up for the digital release of his Shoojit Sircar film Gulabo Sitabo co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. As Amitabh Bachchan has made it a practice to share good content with fans on social media, the actor shared a video of filmmaker-actress Nandita Das’ short film titled Listen To Her. Through the post, Big B urged fans to watch the short film that gives meaning to what stay at home for women means.

Taking to Twitter, Amitabh Bachchan shared a video and tweeted, “Nandita Das, colleague, friend .. writes, directs, & produces a short film of 7 min .." LISTEN TO HER ".. Giving meaning to what 'stay home stay safe' means to women .. All good wishes ..SO .. 'listen to her' !!” In the tweet made by the actor, he mentioned how Nandita Das is a colleague, and friend. Urging fans to ‘Listen To Her’ short film, Big B shared that the plot of the short film is written, directed and produced by Nandita Das.   Talking about the short film, Amitabh Bachchan explained that Listen to Her gives meaning to what ‘stay at home stay safe’ means for women currently during the lockdown.

The short film Listen To Her by Nandita Das features a scenario of a busy working woman who is also trying her best to manage household chores, work, and family. As the film goes on featuring the main character played by Nandita Das, one gets a clear idea of what ‘Listen To Her’ is about after the lady gets a phone call. During the phone call, a domestic help expresses how she is facing domestic violence at home during the lockdown. The short film Listen To Her focuses on being the voice to a conversation that is much needed in the public space and is a response to the irony of “STAY HOME, STAY SAFE” for millions of women in India and around the world.


Meanwhile, as filmmaker-actress Nandita Das’ short film titled Listen To Her works on spreading the word out to break the silence, it is supported by UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF, UN Women and the South Asia Foundation (Madanjeet Singh Foundation).
