Ammy Virk is one of the most sought out actors in Punjab. Now after attaining a feat in the Punjabi industry, the singer-turned-actor is gearing up to take over Bollywood. Though his recent film Bhuj The Pride Of India didn't manage to do well, the actor was highly appreciated for his role of Flight Lieutenant Vikram Singh Baj Jethaaz.
In an exclusive chat with Spotboye Ammy talks about his future projects, he says, "I’ve got offers, I had sent auditions to people but I cannot really disclose it right now. There have been 1-2 films that I am in talks for right now for Rajkumar Hirani’s films, where I have sent my auditions. So hopefully that goes well. I am open to doing web series or any social issues film, if I get to work in them then I will definitely go ahead and do it."
Not giving much detail about the audition the actor says, 'I cannot say anything about it, I don’t know anything about it like for what it is and how. I have just done what they asked me to do and I just did. So apart from that, I don’t know anything. In Bombay, many casting directors are good friends of mine so they are helping me.
Ammy is a big fan of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajkumar Hirani ask him what he likes about these directors he states, "I am a really big fan of them and I want to work with them. Their storytelling is what makes a movie successful. Like when you see Raju sir’s movies, from 3 Idiots to Sanju and Sanjay Bhansali‘s Padmaavat and Ranveer’s movies with him, all the movies have good storytelling. The level they shoot gives justice to each and everything."
He further adds, "In 83 the work that Kabir (Khan) sir has done is phenomenal. I want to work with Kabir Sir more. This is what my mind speaks with whom I want to work but I don’t know from there who wants to work with me and who wants to go ahead with me. So yeah I hope it workouts well."
Ammy Virk currently awaits the release of Kabir Khan's '83 with Ranveer Singh and Qismat 2 with Sargun Mehta.
