Amol Palekar Hospitalized In Pune: His Wife Says ‘He Is Recovering And His Condition Is Better, Nothing To Worry About’
Legendary actor Amol Palekar is admitted to a hospital in Pune
Veteran actor Amol Palekar who is suffering from a prolonged illness has been hospitalized at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. Confirming the news, Palekar’s wife Sandhya Gokhale told ABP News that he is recovering and his condition is better now. She also assured everyone that there is nothing to worry about. Known for his work in classics like 'Rajnigandha', 'Chitchor' and 'Gol Maal', Amol was admitted to the hospital because of Covid-19.
The 77-year-old actor's condition is said to be stable now. ABP Live quoted Sandhya Gokhale as saying, “There is nothing to worry about Amol Palekar's health. He is recovering and his condition is better than before.” When asked about what he is suffering from, Sandhya said, “This is an old illness. Due to excessive smoking, he was admitted to the hospital 10 years ago as well. But his condition is fine.”
A name in itself, Amol is a legendary actor who has marked his name in the Hindi cinema during the early ’70s and ’80s.
Amol Palekar has given a string of successful films. After being missing from the spotlight for a long time, the actor made a comeback with the film, ‘Halla Ho’, which was released on ZEE5 last year. This is not the first time that Amol Palekar had admitted, reportedly, 10 years ago, due to excessive smoking, the veteran actor was hospitalized but he recovered soon, Now again he has been rushed to the hospital due to his illness.
