Amy Jackson was all set to perform at the 62nd annual South Filmfare Awards, which will be held on June 28. After she wrapped up her Goa schedule of Singh Is Bling, the actress had been studiously rehearsing for her act over the past few weeks.
However, it all went out the window today.
The Ekk Deewana Tha actress father, who is based in London, has suddenly taken ill.
On hearing about her dads poor health, Amy naturally didnt bat an eyelid before booking herself a seat on the next plane to the British capital.
She will be by her fathers side for the next few weeks.
The next schedule of Singh Is Bling is supposed to begin on July 8 in Europe. While Akshay Kumar who is already in Europe for a family vacay will join the team directly, Amy too will try her best to join then.
And what about her act at the Filmfare Awards, you ask. Well, we hear, the helpless organisers have made a quick SOS call to Taapsee Pannu who has agreed to fill in.
