Knowing the fans of Bollywood movies across the globe, many Bollywood movies are dubbed in several languages to cater to audiences of different languages. One of them is the 2000 hit film Dhadkan, a romantic triangle starring Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty and Suniel Shetty. A Twitter user posted a video clip from the English dubbed version of Dhadkan and her reaction to this clip has been hilarious. The scene from the English dubbed version hitting the internet is Akshay and Shilpa being welcomed by Akshay’s on-screen family.
While the Hindi version has words such as Maa, Bhai, Bhabhi and Bahu in the English dubbed version, we hear them addressing one another as Mother, Brother, Daughter-in-law and Sister-in-law. One of Akshay Kumar’s dialogues where he assures his mother that she shall remain the head of the family and he will continue to follow her orders just like in the past is dubbed, “I just don’t love you all. I have worshipped all of you. Mother’s orders are as good as God’s orders for me.”
