Anand Gandhi Says 'Tumbbad Taught Him To Allow His Interior Anxieties, Cynicisms To Be Spoken Through Film'-Watch Unseen BTS Video
Filmmaker Anand Gandhi is known for making films on offbeat topics and has delivered films like Ship Of Theseus and Tumbbad, which was recognised as one of the best periodic horror films. The movie received many accolades and garnered praise from the audiences and critics alike. As the Tumbbad completes three years of its release, the director is ecstatic. Gandhi shared with us that he has put the most important years of his life in making Tumbbad and also revealed how it changed him.

Talking about the film, Gandhi said, "I put the most important years of my life making Tumbbad and it changed me. It taught me to allow my interior anxieties and cynicisms to be spoken through film, and not just limit my art to the rational optimism of my earlier work. I am now working on another horror story called ‘Wildebeest."

The director also took to his social media accounts to share an interesting BTS video of Tumbbad. The video showed what went on behind the scenes to create the periodic horror film. The director can be seen instructing people on the sets as to what is to be done and how it is to be done as the master class was being put together. Sharing the clip, he wrote, "Wow! Thanks for sharing this. Didn't even know this existed!”

Directed by Anand Gandhi, Tumbbad featured Sohum Shah, playing a man who is in search of a hidden treasure in the 20th century British India village of Tumbbad, Maharashtra. The 2018 released mystery was such a hit that it also earned International acclaim. A sequel of the film is in the making which was revealed earlier this year.

Anand Gandhi is currently busy filming his next horror film Wildebeest.
