Ananya Panday Becomes The Youngest Indian Celebrity To Voice Opinion On A Social Cause At The Global Citizen Concert
Ananya Panday is the youngest Indian celebrity who spoke about a social cause at the star-studded, Global Citizen Concert.
Ananya Panday has added another feather to her glowing cap! She is the youngest Indian celebrity to have participated at the star studded Global Citizen concert, which was held on September 26. Hosted by Anil Kapoor, the 24-hour music festival invited world leaders, philanthropists, and corporations to defend the planet, defeat poverty and take action on climate change, famine, and advance vaccine equity.
At the event, Ananya Panday spoke about climate change leading to extinction of species and extreme poverty. She also sent out the message of 'Defend Our Planet, Defeat Poverty’. For the outing, the actress put her best foot forward and opted for a green blazer and matching shorts. With her tresses left open, the actress looked no less than a diva with her makeup game on point.
Besides her, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Kapoor also attended the event.
Sara spoke about Covid-19 and how the pandemic got the world together. She said, "With all the pain and hardships the Covid-19 pandemic has inflicted on the whole world, the truth is, it has gotten us together for a common cause. This pandemic has shown us that no matter where you come from, we are all susceptible to these tough times. We must, therefore, fight this virus together.”
The event was organised to raise funds to end global hunger and provide means for 41 million people, raise awareness about climate change and vaccinate the world against COVID-19.
