Ananya Panday Joins Forces With Mumbai’s Cybercrime Squad To Spread Awareness About Cyberbullying
Earlier, in an interview, actor Ananya Panday who started an initiative called, So+ Positive in 2019 that aimed at creating awareness about social media bullying, revealed that she has been facing online hatred since a very young age. To avoid the same for others, during an online interaction, she revealed that she recently got in touch with Mumbai cyber crime branch to understand more about online crime and cyberbullying. She asked the experts on how to prevent the youth from online hatred and bullying while also helping them to speak up against it. 

Speaking about her experience, Ananya shared, "The conversation I had with the ACP Sandeep Karnik, PSI Dattatray Dnyaneshwar Bhojane, and PSI Ajay Kashinath Patil of Mumbai Police at the Cyber Crime branch was really insightful. Discussing the various aspects of cyberbullying and ways to keep social media profiles safe has helped me understand so much."

She added, "Through this, our hope is that it helps all users of various social media platforms as well. It is really commendable the work they have been doing to keep cyberspace clean and safe, This interaction was another step we took to spread awareness about cyberbullying, coming from the officers themselves - the information is legitimate, verified, and accessible on our social media handle too now.”

Earlier, talking about her experience, she said, “There wasn’t one definite moment, I think it was just over the time seeing a lot of this hate and toxicity and negativity around that made me realise. Ananya Panday is reeling under the loss of her grandmother. Snehlata Panday breathed her last on Saturday.
