Nepotism is a topic in the industry that has been discussed a lot. The debate began after Kangana Ranaut, during her appearance on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan called KJo a 'flagbearer of nepotism'. Since then, many celebs shared their take on the same. Talking about Ananya Panday, in particular, as many know, during her appearance at the newcomers' roundtable hosted by Rajeev Masand, talked about her definition of struggle while speaking on nepotism.
The actress spoke about how her father Chunky Panday never got the opportunity to appear on Karan Johar's popular chat show, Koffee with Karan, and never even appeared in a film made under Karan's Dharma Productions. And this is when Siddhant Chaturvedi said, "Jahaan humare sapne poore hote hai, wahaan inka struggle shuru hota hai." Reacting to Siddhant's comment, in a new interview, Ananya said that if she can go back, she'd rephrase her words.
During her recent appearance on Social Media Star, Ananya said, "Basically, I agree. But also I think that Sid and I were kind of saying the same thing. Sometimes, in interviews, as you can see, I'm very overwhelmed. If I had to go back, I would probably change the way I said some things." She added, "We were laughing about it later. Sid and I are really close. We have no weird thing about this. People made it something bigger and it became meme-worthy. Genuinely my intention wasn't like what came across."
For the unversed, Ananya and Siddhant will be seen together in Shakun Batra's untitled film. It also stars Deepika Padukone. The trio recently wrapped up shooting for the same.
