Ananya Panday has been in the news ever since she was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday, last week. Ananya was also questioned by the agency on Friday reportedly for four hours. The actress was supposed to be appearing before NCB today for the third round of questioning in connection with the Mumbai drugs cruise case. However, as per an ANI report, she will not be appearing today.

ANI tweeted saying, "Actor Ananya Panday is not appearing before NCB today in the ongoing drugs case. She has requested NCB for a further date due to personal commitments. NCB has accepted her request; to issue her fresh summons for another date: NCB Sources"

Last week, on Wednesday, the NCB raided Ananya's house and the officials seized her mobile phone and laptop. On Thursday, she reached the NCB office along with her father, Chunky Panday. She was summoned after NCB retrieved her chat messages from Aryan Khan's phone, according to a report in the Times of India.

An ANI report quoted an NCB source saying, "The chats recovered from Aryan Khan's mobile phone reveal that in 2018-2019, she helped supply drugs to Aryan thrice by providing him the numbers of drug dealers." However, she denied all the allegations. According to a report in Hindustan Times, in her previous round of questioning, Ananya said that she has never used any narcotics and the chats with Aryan Khan were in a light vein. Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan, along with a few others, were arrested by the NCB on October 3 in connection with the seizure of banned drugs onboard a cruise ship off to the Mumbai coast. Since his arrest, many celebs including Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Bhatt, Sussanne Khan, Hansal Mehta, Suniel Shetty came out in support of the star kid and his family.

 Aryan is presently lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road Central Jail. He met Shah Rukh Khan last Thursday.
