Angad Bedi Explains His Hush-Hush Wedding To Neha Dhupia, Says ‘Shaadi Apne Liye Karni Hai Ya Logon Ke Liye?'

Power couple Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia tied the knot on May 10, 2018 in a secretive and low-key wedding in New Delhi. The two had never made their relationship status official before they got married and their hush-hush wedding ceremony came as a pleasant surprise for their fans. Unlike most Bollywood weddings, there was no big fat wedding celebrations and was a close-knit affair with only close friends and family present. Neha Dhupia was expecting a baby before their marriage and the news of her pregnancy was also kept under wraps by the couple. Now, Angad Bedi has finally opened up on why they decided to keep their wedding so secretive.
While talking to Bombay Times, Angad Bedi revealed why there is so much secrecy in his personal life and said that he wanted a low-key marriage as his parents also had a low-key wedding. He wanted the wedding to be just like his parents’ and had only 50 people. He said, “. I feel that our marriage was low-key because we wanted a low-key marriage. Because, when my father got married he had a very low-key wedding and he was the captain of India at that time. So, that time only his side of the family came and my mother’s side of the family came and they got married. And, I thought of it as such a beautiful story. So, when our turn happened I wanted it to be just like how my father had his wedding and we had only 50 people.” He also added, “Abhi shaadi aapne apne liye karni hai ya logon ke liye karni hai, pehele yeh decide karlo. It’s like each to their own. I feel wedding is a private affair, we both believe in that. The marriage is not only between two people, it’s between two families. Yes, it’s great to celebrate, we had a great baby shower, and we called the entire industry and everybody came and blessed us.” He also said that his father wanted them to have a small gathering with close friends and family in a Gurudwara.
Angad Bedi also said that while Neha Dhupia’s pregnancy news was kept under wraps, he made sure to have an amazing baby shower for his daughter Mehr and people from the industry were also invited. Meanwhile, on the work front, Angad Bedi will be seen next in The Zoya Factor starring Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman in lead roles. The film is slated to release on September 20, 2019.
