Angad Bedi Shuts Down Trolls Body Shaming Neha Dhupia; Says Women Like Her Should Be Celebrated
Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia welcomed their baby girl Mehr in November last year, post which, Neha Dhupia became a target to online trolling and haters who fat shamed her. Now, Angad Bedi has spoken at length about the issue and said that women like Neha Dhupia should be celebrated
The dashing Bollywood couple Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia became were blessed with a baby girl and became proud parents last year in November 2018. The couple were over the moon after the birth and took to their social media handles to announce the name of their baby girl Mehr. Soon after giving birth, Neha Dhupia got back to work like a true professional and was also working towards losing the few pounds she had gained during her pregnancy. Earlier this year, she became a target for body shaming and fat shaming online and not one to tolerate nonsense, she hit back at the trolls. Now, her doting husband Angad Bedi has addressed the issue of body shaming and has come out in full support of his wife.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Angad Bedi said that body shaming is quite common for mothers and that a woman who is expecting is already going through a lot of bodily changes and requires special care. However, some people disregard this and thoughtlessly make hurtful comments about how a mother looks. Angad Bedi said that while Neha Dhupia is working towards getting back in shape, it is a slow process and takes time during which she cannot compromise on her health as she is also breast feeding her child. He further added, “Those who fat shame I want to tell them being happy has nothing to do with body weight but how one leads his or her life. Neha is a strong woman; she has got back to work and is also taking care of her child. Women like her should be celebrated…,”
Angad Bedi was all praises for his wife Neha Dhupia and also said that he is lucky to have found someone like her. They also discuss scripts and work with each other and at the same time, don’t interfere.
Meanwhile, Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia are currently on a holiday with their daughter Mehr in Maldives. Neha Dhupia celebrated her birthday on the islans and the couple also shared pictures from their vacation.
